Medical Grade C-Section Scar Cupping Device

$49.00

Womb to World™ Dome

MORE THAN SKIN DEEP

The Womb to World™ Dome is a medical-grade silicone cupping device designed specifically for caesarean birth recovery, targeting the C-section scar shelf, fascial restriction, and tissue adhesion that form beneath the surface — where manual massage alone cannot reach.

Through soft, controlled suction, the Dome creates mechanical decompression of the fascial layers beneath the skin. This supports local circulation and lymphatic flow to the peri-scar tissue, and assists in mobilising deeper tissue that has become restricted or adhered following surgery.

Anatomically shaped to sit comfortably in the hand and move with precision across the body, it is designed for one-handed use during postpartum recovery.

With consistent practice over time, the Dome supports progressive change in the tissue, helping to soften scar appearance, reduce the scar shelf, improve pliability, and restore ease of movement through the lower abdominal region.

Improvement is observed over weeks to months of consistent practice. The Dome completes the Womb to World™ system, addressing the internal architecture of your caesarean scar with the same clinical intention that guides every product in this Womb to World Protocol.

For optimal use, apply the Womb to World™ Nectar generously to the peri-scar area prior to each session. This gel-to-oil concentrate prepares the skin, enhances glide, and supports a seamless cupping ritual. Together, the Nectar and the Dome form a complete postpartum C-section scar care protocol.

Begin from 12 weeks postpartum, with confirmed care provider clearance, once the scar is well healed and comfortable with direct massage. Begin gently. Progress gradually.

Who It's Designed For

The Womb to World™ Dome was created for mothers recovering from a Caesarean birth who are ready to progress beyond surface-level scar massage.

It is designed for women experiencing scar tightness, restriction, pulling sensations, reduced tissue mobility or a persistent scar shelf, as well as those wanting to proactively support the long-term function and appearance of their scar.

Whether you are newly cleared to begin scar therapy or months, even years, beyond your birth, the Dome provides a gentle way to incorporate tissue mobilisation into your recovery routine.

Designed to be used alongside the Womb to World™ Nectar and Womb to World™ Protocol, it helps mothers confidently perform guided scar care at home.

If your scar feels tight, restricted or tethered beneath the surface, this tool was created for you.

Why is this different

Most C-section scar care focuses on the surface of the skin. The Womb to World™ Dome was designed to support what lies beneath it.

Following a Caesarean birth, scar tissue, fascial restriction and tissue adhesions can develop below the visible scar line, contributing to tightness, pulling sensations, reduced mobility and the appearance of a scar shelf. While manual massage remains an important part of recovery, it can be difficult to create the same degree of tissue lift and decompression using the hands alone.

The Womb to World™ Dome uses gentle, controlled suction to create mechanical lift within the peri-scar tissue, helping support scar mobility, tissue pliability and ease of movement through the lower abdominal region.

Unlike generic body cupping devices, the Dome features a unique anatomical design specifically developed for the lower abdomen, allowing precise, comfortable one-handed use during postpartum recovery.

Designed to work in partnership with the Womb to World™ Nectar and Womb to World™ Protocol, it forms part of a complete, evidence-informed approach to Caesarean scar rehabilitation.

How To Use

Apply Womb to World™ Nectar generously to the scar and surrounding area.

Gently compress the Dome and place beside or over the scar line, depending on your comfort. Release slowly to create a gentle suction. A light lifting sensation is expected.

Hold for 30–60 seconds or glide in slow, controlled movements across the peri-scar area. Begin with 3–5 minutes, 3–4 times per week.

For use from 12 weeks postpartum. Always use with confirmed care provider clearance.

The Evidence Is Clear

A supported scar heals differently and you deserve to know exactly how to support yours.

If birth felt tender, overwhelming, or different to what you had hoped for, your scar can become a place where parts of that experience are held within the body. This practice is not asking you to force anything, fix anything, or feel more than you are ready to feel. It is simply an invitation to meet this part of yourself with compassion and love.

With time and consistent, gentle care, many women find that tending to their scar beyond the surface becomes more than skin deep. It can become a soft, surprising way of reconnecting with their body, their birth story, and themselves.

Grounded in women’s physiotherapy and evidence-informed maternal care, our Womb to World Protocol offers compassionate and considered guidance to support both how your scar heals, and how it feels within your body over time.

LOVED BY MUMS

Trusted by Maternal Care Practitioners

I am only a few weeks in and I genuinely did not expect to feel this much. I have had my scar for sixteen months and I had just accepted the shelf, the tightness, the strange numbness. The Nectar alone changed how I feel about touching that part of my body. I use the Dome three times a week and already, I can notice I'm moving across my scar with less bracing.

16 WEEKS POSTPARTUM
VERIFIED C-SCAR MAMA

I started not expecting much from this cupping practice. Six weeks in and the tissue feels different under my hands already. Softer and less stuck. I don't have the words for what it means to feel reconnected to that part of my body again. More than anything, it’s helped me to process my birth story and feel at peace with my changing body.

VERIFIED C-SCAR MAMA

Three caesareans and I just got on with it each time. There were other children, life didn't just pause, and nobody asked how my scar was actually healing. 8 months postpartum and the Dome is the first thing that has made me feel like I was given something I deserved three scars ago. I am only a month in but for the first time I am doing this recovery differently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the Dome on dry skin?

No. Cupping on dry skin increases friction and can cause unnecessary pulling, discomfort, and surface bruising. Always apply the Womb to World Nectar to the scar and surrounding area before each session. The Nectar primes the skin and provides the slip needed for comfortable cupping placement and movement, while delivering targeted bioactives — including Gotu Kola, Ceramide NP, and bakuchiol — that actively support the scar tissue you're working to mobilise. The two are designed to be used together as part of the complete Womb to World Protocol.

Can the Dome help with my C-section scar shelf?

The visible overhang or indentation that can develop along a C-section scar, commonly referred to as the C-section scar shelf, is often caused by scar adhesions tethering the skin and superficial fascia to deeper abdominal layers. This tethering draws tissue inward at the scar line, creating a visual ledge where tissue above or below the incision sits differently. The Dome's gentle negative pressure works to lift and mobilise these layers, helping to release the fascial restrictions that contribute to the shelf's appearance. Combined with regular Nectar massage and consistent use over time, many mothers notice improved tissue mobility, softening of the tethered area, and a gradual reduction in shelf prominence. Results are progressive and individual — for more complex presentations, we recommend working alongside a women's health physiotherapist.

What is silicone cupping and how does it help C-section scars?

Silicone cupping is a therapeutic technique adapted from traditional cupping therapy, used in physiotherapy and scar management to support the mobilisation of scar tissue. When the Dome is applied over a healed C-section scar, it creates gentle negative pressure (suction) that lifts the skin and underlying fascial layers. This mechanical action helps to improve local blood flow, support lymphatic drainage, and encourage the breakdown of adhesions — bands of fibrous tissue that can form between the scar and deeper abdominal layers. Scar adhesions can contribute to tightness, pulling sensations, restricted movement, and discomfort long after the incision has healed. Regular, gentle cupping with the Dome is designed to support fascial mobility and the ongoing scar remodelling process.

Is the Dome safe to use on a C-section scar?

Yes, from 12 weeks postpartum at the earliest, once your scar is fully healed, closed, and cleared by your healthcare provider. Before introducing the Dome, your scar should have developed comfort and tissue suppleness through regular massage using the Womb to World Nectar. This foundational step prepares the tissue to respond well to cupping therapy. Begin with the lightest suction and shortest duration, increasing gradually as your scar tolerates. Do not use the Dome on open, broken, infected, or actively inflamed skin. If you have any complications with your incision healing, or are under the care of a women's health physiotherapist, consult them before commencing.

When can I start using the Dome after my C-section?

As a general guide, scar mobilisation typically begins once the incision is fully closed, dry, and all sutures or staples have been removed — usually around 12 weeks postpartum. However, every mother's healing journey is different. We always recommend confirming your readiness for scar therapy with your obstetrician, midwife, or women's health physiotherapist. Starting gently and progressively is key — early scar tissue is still in its active remodelling phase and should be treated with care.

How does the Dome work with the Nectar and Patch?

The Dome, Nectar, and Patch (Scar Strip) are designed as a complementary three-step C-section scar care protocol within the Womb to World™ collection. The Nectar provides topical hydration, barrier support, and antioxidant protection to the scar tissue. The Dome supports fascial mobilisation, blood flow, and the breakdown of scar adhesions through gentle cupping therapy. The Patch delivers sustained compression and occlusion to support scar flattening, fading and maturation. A suggested protocol: apply the Nectar and perform gentle massage, follow with a short cupping session using the Dome, then apply the Patch for extended wear. Always ensure the skin is clean and dry before applying the Womb to World Patch.

How often should I use the Dome?

For most mothers, 2 to 5 minutes per session, 3 to 4 times per week is a gentle and effective starting point. Consistency matters more than duration — short, regular sessions over weeks and months will support the scar remodelling process more effectively than infrequent sessions. Listen to your body. If you experience any discomfort, reduce suction pressure or frequency and consult your healthcare provider.

Will the Dome help with numbness around my C-section scar?

Numbness or altered sensation around a C-section scar is common and results from nerve disruption during surgery. Some mothers experience gradual return of sensation over months to years as nerves regenerate. While the Dome is not a treatment for nerve damage, the gentle mobilisation of scar tissue and increased local blood flow that cupping supports may create a more favourable environment for the natural nerve recovery process. If you are experiencing persistent numbness or pain, a women's health physiotherapist can provide a tailored assessment.

Does cupping hurt on a C-section scar?

When used correctly and on fully healed skin, cupping should not be painful. Expect to feel a gentle pulling or lifting sensation as the Dome creates suction — this is normal and indicates the tissue is being gently mobilised. Some mothers find that certain areas of the scar are more sensitive than others, particularly where adhesions may be present. Always start with the lightest suction and increase gradually. Temporary redness at the site is normal and typically resolves within minutes to hours. If you experience sharp pain, discontinue and consult your healthcare provider.

What is the Dome made from?

The Dome is crafted from premium medical-grade silicone — a material chosen for its hypoallergenic properties, flexibility, and durability. Medical-grade silicone is non-toxic, latex-free, BPA-free, and widely used in therapeutic and clinical applications. It maintains its shape and suction integrity over repeated use.

Is there clinical evidence for cupping therapy on scars?

Cupping therapy techniques have been explored in physiotherapy and dermatological literature as tools for scar management. Published research supports the principle that mechanical mobilisation of scar tissue can improve fascial mobility, reduce adhesion formation, and support the remodelling phase of wound healing. Cupping is widely used by women's health physiotherapists as part of C-section scar recovery protocols. The Dome has been designed as an accessible, at-home tool informed by these therapeutic principles. For complex scarring or complications, we recommend working alongside a qualified women's health physiotherapist.

How long should I continue using the Dome?

Scar tissue continues to remodel for up to 12 to 24 months after surgery. Many women's health physiotherapists recommend ongoing scar mobilisation throughout this period for the best outcomes. The Dome can be incorporated into your long-term postpartum recovery ritual for as long as you find it beneficial. There is no maximum duration of use for a fully healed scar and it’s never too late to begin.

THE LONG ARC TO A FULL RECOVERY

6 Week Check Up

Caesarean birth is major abdominal surgery. Seven layers, opened and closed and yet somehow, we’ve collectively decided that a brief check-in at 6 weeks is enough. In many cases, it isn’t.

What the system rarely communicates is that scar tissue remains biologically active and responsive to care for up to 24 months following surgery and that the shelf, restriction, and tightness so many women have quietly accepted can still respond to the right intervention.

it's never too late

When To Begin Cupping

From 12 weeks postpartum, with confirmed care provider clearance, once the scar is well healed and comfortable with direct massage. Begin gently and progress gradually. The Dome is most beneficial from month three onward, when the deeper fascial layers are actively remodelling and the tissue is ready to respond to mechanical stimulus.

MORE THAN SKIN DEEP

The Scar Shelf

For mothers with a visible scar shelf or ridge above the incision, the Dome can be particularly valuable in targeting the adherent subcutaneous fascia that contributes to this common presentation. Work in the tissue just above the shelf, cupping and releasing in small increments, with consistent Nectar application to support glide and comfort. Improvement in the shelf appearance is typically observed over weeks to months of consistent use, not days.
