Bosom Ritual Infusion

NURTURE · NOURISH · REPLENISH

(with) Fennel, Fenugreek, Goats rue & Milk thistle.

Embodying a sense of ease, calm and purpose, the Bosom Ritual™ Infusion offers an elevated dose of therapeutic hydration, intuitively formulated to support lactation wellness and nurture mama throughout her tender breastfeeding season and thereafter.

Grounded in rich botanical wisdom, this herbalist alchemy is enriched with a generous measure of certified organic lactogenic, nutritive, carminative and nervine herbs to help nourish milk supply, awaken oxytocin, elevate prolactin, relax vasospasm, and soothe digestion for mother and baby.

Luxuriate in this immersive blend, savouring the delicate sweetness of aniseed and fennel, uplifted by the refreshing citrus notes of lemon balm and lemongrass. A deeply restorative blend, this award-winning nursing tea is designed to complement your breastfeeding rituals and support lactation wellness with every sip.

Generous 65 serves per cylinder — thoughtfully measured to last around 3–4 weeks with daily use. Each loose leaf serving can be enjoyed 2–3 times, offering lasting nourishment across multiple cups per day.

Peppermint is widely used in breastfeeding support blends, though many studies note it may reduce milk supply. For this reason, our nursing tea is intentionally crafted without peppermint — supporting mothers who wish to nurture and protect their milk production.

Size
Who It's Designed For

The Bosom Ritual Infusion was created for mothers who are breastfeeding, pumping or combination feeding and wanting to support their milk supply, hydration and overall wellbeing.

It is particularly valued by mothers experiencing perceived low milk supply, those wanting to protect an established supply, and mothers looking for a simple way to increase their daily fluid intake during lactation.

With its blend of traditional lactation, nutritive and calming herbs, it also provides a nourishing hydration ritual for mothers navigating the demands of postpartum recovery.

If you're looking for a simple daily ritual to support both your feeding journey and your own wellbeing, this infusion was created for you.

Why is this different

Most nursing teas focus on one or two well-known lactation herbs. The Bosom Ritual Infusion takes a more considered approach.

Our certified organic blend combines nine carefully selected herbs traditionally used throughout lactation, with every ingredient chosen for a specific purpose. Alongside recognised breastfeeding herbs including fennel, fenugreek, goat's rue and milk thistle, we've incorporated nutritive, digestive and calming botanicals including nettle, lemon balm, lemongrass, caraway and aniseed to create a more comprehensive breastfeeding blend.

Unlike finely milled tea bags that can limit the volume of botanicals delivered per serve, our loose-leaf format allows for a generous and intentionally dosed blend of herbs in every cup.

Unlike many nursing teas that feel medicinal or difficult to enjoy consistently, the Bosom Ritual Infusion was formulated to be both functional and delicious. Its award-winning flavour profile makes it a ritual mothers genuinely look forward to, whether enjoyed warm or served chilled over ice.

This is a lactation hydration ritual you’ll happily return to, time and again.

Disclaimer

The Bosom Ritual Infusion is intended to support optimal lactation as part of a broader approach to maternal wellbeing and lactation support.

While many mothers choose to incorporate lactation-supportive herbs into their daily routine, milk production is influenced by a range of factors, including breast stimulation, milk removal, feeding frequency, maternal health and individual circumstances. Low milk supply is often a supply-and-demand issue, and herbal products should not be considered a replacement for comprehensive lactation support.

If you have concerns regarding your milk supply, breastfeeding journey or your baby's feeding, we recommend seeking personalised guidance from your medical practitioner, midwife, IBCLC or other qualified healthcare professional.

Always use as directed. If pregnant, taking medication or managing a medical condition, consult your healthcare practitioner before use.

The Mammae Difference

For the mother who values ritual over convenience, who treasures the warmth of a teapot and the quiet pause that comes with brewing intentionally, this is a nourishing ritual worth returning to.

Inside, nine certified organic botanicals come together in a carefully considered formulation traditionally used to support lactation, digestive wellbeing and maternal nourishment throughout the postpartum season.

With approximately 65 serves per vessel and the ability to steep each serve multiple times, the loose-leaf format offers exceptional value for mothers who incorporate the Infusion into their daily routine.

More generous than a single-serve pyramid tea bag and fully customisable to your preferred strength, it transforms a simple cup of tea into a daily act of nourishment that extends well beyond the fourth trimester.

I’m deep in newborn care as a triple feeding mum and have experienced some fluctuations in my milk supply. But since having 3 cuppas a day and being consistent for almost 2 weeks now, it has made a real difference to my output. I also think it just calms my nerves too.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does nursing tea support milk supply?

Galactagogue herbs, including fenugreek, fennel, goat's rue, and milk thistle have been used across cultures for centuries to support breastfeeding mothers, and published research supports their role in helping to elevate prolactin and encourage oxytocin release, the two hormones essential to milk production and let-down. The Mammae Loose Leaf Nursing Tea is formulated with a certified organic blend of lactogenic, nervine, and carminative herbs selected to nourish supply, support the hormonal environment of lactation, and soothe digestion for both mother and baby. Beyond the botanicals themselves, the simple ritual of pausing to drink warm tea may stimulate oxytocin, support maternal hydration, and create a moment of calm — all of which contribute to a more favourable environment for milk flow. For the greatest benefit, enjoy 2 to 3 cups daily alongside responsive feeding, effective milk removal, and a well-supported latch. If you have concerns about your supply, we recommend consulting an IBCLC for a tailored assessment.

How do I brew the Loose Leaf Nursing Tea?

Scoop 1 to 2 heaped teaspoons of loose leaf tea into an infuser or teapot. Pour 250ml of filtered boiled water. Cover and infuse for your desired strength — a longer steep will produce a stronger, more robust flavour and a more concentrated herbal dose. Each serve of loose leaf can be infused 2 to 3 times, offering lasting nourishment across multiple cups throughout the day.

How many serves does one cylinder contain?

Each cylinder provides approximately 65 generous serves — thoughtfully measured to last around 3 to 4 weeks with daily use of 2 to 3 cups per day. Because each loose leaf serve can be re-infused 2 to 3 times, the actual number of cups you can enjoy from one cylinder is significantly higher.

What is the difference between the Loose Leaf and Pyramid Nursing Tea?

Both share the same certified organic formulation of nine lactogenic and restorative herbs. The Loose Leaf format offers greater volume, better value, and the flexibility to adjust your brew strength. The Pyramid format offers measured, single-serve convenience in biodegradable Soilon tea bags. Many mothers keep both — loose leaf for home and pyramids for their hospital bag, travel, or days when convenience matters most.

Can I drink the tea Nursing Tea blend during pregnancy?

The Nursing Tea is primarily formulated for the postpartum breastfeeding period. Some ingredients, particularly fenugreek, have traditionally been used with caution during pregnancy. We recommend beginning the tea once breastfeeding has commenced, unless otherwise advised by your midwife or healthcare provider.

Is the tea caffeine-free?

Yes. The entire formulation is 100% caffeine-free, making it safe for consumption at any time of day or night without concern for stimulating effects on you or your baby through breast milk.

Why is this tea more expensive than supermarket nursing teas?

The Nursing Tea uses exclusively certified organic ingredients at therapeutic doses — not the trace amounts found in many mass-market blends. It is formulated without synthetic additives, artificial flavours, caffeine, gluten, dairy, nuts, or harmful chemicals. The loose leaf format delivers approximately 65 generous serves (re-infusable 2 to 3 times each), providing a significantly higher volume of nourishing hydration per dollar than pre-bagged alternatives. Every exclusion and inclusion is a deliberate act of quality and value.

Does the tea contain any allergens?

The Nursing Tea is free from gluten, dairy, nuts, caffeine, and synthetic additives. It does contain fenugreek, which belongs to the legume family (Fabaceae). Rare cross-reactivity may exist for individuals with peanut or chickpea allergies. Review the full ingredient list and consult your healthcare provider if you have known botanical allergies.

Can my partner or family drink the Nursing Tea too?

Yes. While the tea is formulated for lactation and postpartum mothers, the herbs used are safe for general adult consumption. The blend offers digestive support, relaxation, and nourishment that anyone can enjoy. It is a particularly lovely ritual for partners who wish to share in the experience of the postpartum period.

Can I drink the Nursing Tea cold or iced?

Yes. Brew as directed with boiling water, allow to cool, and serve over ice. The therapeutic properties are maintained regardless of serving temperature. Cold brewing is a refreshing option during warmer seasons.

Can the tea help with my baby's colic or gas?

The tea contains carminative herbs, including fennel, caraway, and aniseed, that are traditionally used to support digestive comfort. When consumed by the breastfeeding mother, trace amounts of these compounds may pass through breast milk and offer gentle digestive support for your baby. Fennel, in particular, has been traditionally used to soothe infant colic symptoms. If your baby's symptoms are persistent or concerning, consult your paediatrician or child health nurse.

Do I need a tea infuser?

A tea infuser or teapot with a built-in strainer is recommended for the best loose leaf experience. Mammae offers a complementary Ritualware Tea Infuser — a handmade, food-grade stainless steel micro-mesh infuser designed specifically for brewing your Nursing Tea.

mammae apothecary

Goats Rue.

One of the most revered galactagogues in traditional European herbal medicine, Galega officinalis has been used for centuries to support mammary tissue development and milk production. For a breastfeeding mother, goats rue offers what few single herbs can, support not just for the volume of supply, but for the glandular foundation that produces it. It is the ingredient most mothers have never heard of, and the one they notice first.

mammae apothecary

Nettle.

Urtica dioica is among the most nutrient-dense herbs available to a postpartum mother, rich in bioavailable iron, calcium, magnesium, and vitamins A and K. Where other herbs in this blend support milk production directly, nettle supports the mother herself, replenishing the mineral stores that pregnancy and birth deplete, rebuilding blood, and restoring the deep nutritive reserves that sustained energy and recovery depend on. It is the herb that cares for the woman behind the milk.

mammae apothecary

Fenugreek.

Trigonella foenum-graecum, a small, amber seed with one of the longest documented histories of any galactagogue in the world. Used across Ayurvedic, Middle Eastern, and North African herbal traditions for centuries, fenugreek's ability to stimulate milk ducts and promote increased milk flow has made it the single most referenced herb in lactation support globally. Its warm, subtly sweet, maple-like character anchors the flavour profile of this blend while its phytoestrogens work to support the hormonal signalling that drives production.
