Evidence Based Support for Breastfeeding & Pumping
WELCOME TO A NEW ERA OF BREAST CARE
Updated Advice & What You Need To Know
ABM’s latest guidlines position cold therapy and gentle lymphatic breast massage as a first-line support for inflammatory breast conditions, helping to reduce tenderness, and pain from early engorgement, inflammatory mastitis, and ductal narrowing (often called blocked ducts).
Cold Therapy
Use cold therapy after breastfeeding or pumping to reduce swelling and soothe tenderness—especially through periods of oversupply, weaning, or return-to-work pumping. It’s a simple, evidence-based way to feel better while protecting your supply.
Warm Therapy
A little warmth just before a feed or pump can soften the breast and encourage let-down for a smoother latch or more comfortable pumping session. Keep heat short and purposeful; during active breast inflammation, prolonged warmth is not recommended.

The Elixir
BREAKTHROUGH BREAST-CARE SUPPORT
A hospital bag must-have, the Bosom Ritual Elixir, combined with the Bosom Ritual Protocol, provides first-line defence against common breast inflammatory conditions. This natural and conservative approach helps to address issues early and effectively, potentially reducing the need for antibiotic intervention.
By nurturing a functional lymphatic system, this will help to prevent inflammation, ensuring overall breast health and optimal lactation. This is a specific product and protocol that should not be underestimated in maternal care discussions and breastfeeding preparations.
Additionally, research indicates that performing a lymphatic breast massage prior to feeding or pumping can significantly enhance the nutrient content in a mother's milk, ensuring a richer and more nutritious feed for your baby.
